| READY, SET, GO! I’m Deb Geigis Berry, but Deb will do just fine. For years, as a writer, editor, and frequent guest on national television shows, I’ve chronicled ways families can make time together special. Now, I’ve consolidated my ideas on www.familyadventuremom.com, which I hope you’ll use as a resource, whether you’re hunting for a great vacation destination or a way to spend a rainy Friday night. Though I love to travel (I’m author of the book, FamilyFun Vacation Guide: New England; Disney Editions), I think anytime with kids can be an adventure. As you’ll see when you peruse the site, my family has adventures in our living room and kitchen, as well as on the road. In addition to highlighting top family lodges and Caribbean hotspots, www.familyadventuremom.com shows you how to travel overseas without leaving home, start a global instrument collection, and turn ordinary cookies into sassy sunflowers. Like many parents, I’m concerned that my kids, 6-year-old Hudson and 9-year-old Acadia, eat healthy, embrace varied cultures and traditions, preserve our planet through recycling and reusing household objects, and develop a love of learning.
